This summer, Peng Leng Jeng brings the heat, noise and unmistakable wok hei of classic dai pai dongs back to the streets of Hong Kong—right in the middle of SoHo.
Created by wok hei master and Hong Kong champion Chef ArChan Chan and hospitality veteran Jonathan Leung, Peng Leng Jeng is a love letter to one of the city’s most iconic and endangered dining traditions. Named after the cheeky Cantonese slang for “beautiful, fast, cheap,” the pop-up pays tribute to the glory days of dai pai dongs—those no-frills open-air food stalls where dishes come fast, beers come cold, and every meal is a shared memory.
